As a culminating task for this lesson, reflect on your own beliefs, expectations, and practices.
- Does my school have a homework policy?
- Are the parents aware of the policy and do they support it?
- Am I evaluating my students’ homework assignments effectively?
- How am I employing both single-skill and cumulative practice in my homework assignments?
- How do I regularly provide feedback on homework? Do I provide constructive or instructive comments on graded papers?
- How much practice time do my students get prior to being assigned homework?
- How do my beliefs about the value of homework align with or conflict with district and school policy?
Assignment:
Copy the questions into a one- or two-page document and answer each with a sentence or short paragraph. When you have completed the work, upload a copy of your responses in MS Word format (.doc or .docx) using the tool provided below.
Once you have uploaded the file, and marked this lesson as complete, you will be returned to the course Home where you will be able to view and print your course completion certificate. In order to receive credit for this course, the certificate must be emailed to your Advisor ([email protected]) for their signature.
